Kansai
West of the Border
Kansai Region. It encompasses the Osaka Plain and contains the city of Kyoto, historical but not current capital of the Japans. Actually, the really historical capital was Nara, but that's going back a ways. Anyhow, it's Kansai, the spiritual and cultural capital of the Japans. Come, let us take an arduous journey of enlightenment. Should be about a half hour by air. Not really that far.
