The Speares

A pretty decent site (335), at the tail end of tent camping but cold enough that no tents. A couple of quiet neighbours. Next time look at site 337 which has a ravine behind it.

It was brutally cold and starting to rain when we got there. John and David came with us which was nice. We get John from time to time but haven't had David camping since he left for college. The cold continued for a few days and we went through a staggering amount of wood.

Managed to get in a couple of trails - Limberlost and Track and Tower. David really burned up the track on the Tower trail although the stairs slowed him down a bit. I can't say much as I get a little slower every year.

We were to stay until Friday but Thursday had a tornado warning so we went back home early. Had quite the storm while we were having pink on the deck. Fun trip, hope to get kids out more often.
