Living the life in Muskoka

Really pretty park, though the sites are weensie and I wouldn't come here during on season. In the freakishly warm October weather we've been having it's a nice quiet park, especially if you avoid beachfront and hydro sites. We had site 1024, which is the end of the line in the tent camping in Granite Saddle campground, so apart from a couple of very quiet neighbours the first couple of days we were all to ourselves. The site is one of the larger ones (sadly) and very pretty with a backdrop of rocks. Being out of the way it seems it attracts wildlife. We had a bear rummaging around in the next door site - they had left some takeout containers in the firepit. At night a fox showed up where I was disposing of the dishwater. Have to be more careful of that in future.

Lots of yomping around on the rocks between our campsite and the lighthouse on the one end, and the day use beach on the other. Another nice trip.
